Meraki Switches Inter-connecting

We are preparing all the accessories we require in order to install and interconnect the Meraki switches.

We have cat 6e Ethernet cables.

What fiber patch panels should we purchase? We are using single-mode fiber cables.

What sort of fiber patch cables do we need?

OS2 SM or OM3 or OM4?

LC-LC or LC-SC or SC-SC?

Simplex or duplex?

All of the Meraki SFP single mode fiber modules require LC connections.

You can get SC to LC fiber patch cables if your patch panel has SC connections or

LC to LC fiber patch cables if the panel(s) has LC connections.

Look at smf and choose the speed and distance.

@ww thanks for your response. The documentation talks about the fiber cables which I mentioned that we are using SMF. We are stuck on the Fiber patch panels and cables.

If you have single mode fibre (smf) you need OS2, the OM variants are all multimode.

LC and SC are just physical connectors, LC are the small ones close together, SC are the bigger ones that are less common now, but still used on inter-building links sometimes.
