Meraki MS120 Interface Templates

Hi folks,

Im looking for options for dynamic port configuration for APs and switches. 

I have tried SmartPorts with SmartPort Automation, but it seems very unstable. I also get issues when i pair SmartPort Profiles with Named Vlans.

Is there any feature allowing ISE to return an interface template name or maybe even a SmartPort profile as a part of a Radius response?

For catalyst switches I know that these models can be applied to specific ports and can be dynamically linked using Authorization via ISE. But for MS I believe it will not work due to the particularities that MS has in relation to the configurations that are made.

Maybe it will work using Filter-Id attribute in the RADIUS response to specify the profile to be applied.   Take a look at this document.

ISE can set a VLAN by name or VLAN ID and can also set a group policy. It can not set a smart port profile

I should have clearified that im looking for options to dynamicly assign the interfaces connecting to switches and APs as trunks, not access ports.

In theory it could eventually become possible with Meraki Managed IOS switches, but definitely isn't available at this time.
