MS220-8P vs HP 1810-8G V2 Bad Performance

Hallo,

i replaced a dump TP-Link switch with a MS220-8P since then the speed between the MS220-8P and the HP 1810-8G V2 is really bad.
I looks like a 100 Mbit/s Ethernet connection despite the fact that both switches show 1 Gbit/s.
If i put the old dump TP-Link switch between them then network reaches 1 Gbit/s again.

Has anybody experienced this problem?

Than fir the tipp.

i figured it out some days ago.

The Problem was one of the power saving options the HP Switch has.

This was never an issue with other switches yet.

But now it works.

Thanks everybody for your help.

I'm going to guess a duplex mis-match.  What does each end report the duplex as?

How is the port configured on the HP switch?   1000/full, auto/auto?

Thats something i assumed as well, but unfortunately trying different speed did not help.

Even if i set both switches to 1000 Mbit/ Full Duplex the problem persists.

What about the port on the Meraki pointing to the device?  Is it still auto/auto and is the machine plugging into it set the same?

Hello

I tried every combination. With fixed rates and with settings to auto/auto in every possible combination on both sides. That does not help.

Trying turning off denial-of-service (DoS) and sotrm control protections off on the HP 1810.
