E1 external routes

Cisco courseware says that Meraki only supports Type E2 external OSPF routes. Does that only apply to outbound redistribution? That is, can a Meraki switch accept incoming E1 routes? And if so, can it process them as E1 routes?

Meraki can receive and process both E1 and E2 routes, but,  only redistributes external routes as E2.

Meraki likes to keep it simple by not presenting options that could introduce complexity.  However the devices will still adhere to how the protocol behaves so your E1 routes will of course be accepted.

Thanks, all. I suspected that was the case, but didn't find any documentation confirming it.
