If you are still running in the CS firmware mode you won't be able to do any CLI verifications and will need the help of support to get actual data wether the module is correctly detected in the 9300 and the link is not being err-disabled due to some other reason.

The best thing you can start with is make sure the link has base configuration, no UDLD enforce applied (since you are connecting to a non cisco device) and is not part of a port-channel/aggregate to start with just to exclude as many as possible reasons for connection failing.

If you have DOM monitoring please check if you are receiving a signal.  I believe the CS version has DOM montoring available and perhaps the korenix device also has something similar.

Hi @Mabouzid , what’s the fibre between both switches?

Might be a silly question….have you tried swapping the ends round on one of the fibre patch leads?

Ah, so we’re beyond troubleshooting a layer 1 issue.

Have you contacted Meraki support?  Is the 9300 on the latest firmware?

You’d be better served ringing support directly.  You can find their number in your dashboard.

@Mabouzid if you are on the IOS-XE builds then you have a CLI within the dashboard now, it can't do everything, but is good for debugging.  What code version are you on now?

@Mabouzid that is quite old now and although your specific issue isn't mentioned in the release notes I would upgrade at least to the current stable release of 17.2.1.1.

are you think the upgrade to CS 7.2.1.1 will recover that issue

It's worth a go as there are about 15-20 listed fixes from 17.1.3 to 17.2.1.1

That version is a CS upgrade from the Meraki dashboard.  I'd try that first.  If it doesn't work then you could try the IOS-XE version, but that isn't fully stable yet.
