Dual power supplies in MS switches

It appears from the below that adding a second power supply does not increase the PoE budget, this was previously mentioned in a 2018 post regarding an MS250 but is still the same today for an MS355:

Does anyone else agree that is would be better that the additional (not cheap) PSU was used to increase the budget, or is it just me?

You need to be running MS 11.x (or better).  Have a look under:

Switch > Switch Settings

I guess  its for redundancy. So if one fail all your poe devices keep working. Do other vendors  increase the poe budget?

@ww yes, on Cisco IOS switches (3850s, 9300s etc.) the power above what is required to run the switch without factoring in PoE is pooled and shared to all PoE devices, even to other stack members.

Thanks @PhilipDAth , running 12.32 and now works 👍

As a point of note 12.32 seems to have a bug where using combined power issues an event each minute abut the PoE budget 🙄  Reverted to redundant power and no more events after one correct entry per switch.
