Console port for meraki models - MS225-48FP & MS210-48

Is there any console port for intially configuring the meraki models - MS225-48FP & MS210-48? Just like the catalyst switch? I can see on the back side of switch there is a USB port. I dont know what is the use for this? How do we configure a meraki switch (to manually assign a static management ip)  or only by giving adding the switch to dashboard can it be configured when the switch is online?

No, there is not.

Meraki switches are designed to be managed via the dashboard without the need for a console cable.

So how do we configure initially when you receive a switch?

You can claim the switch in Organization > Inventory and then add the switch to the desired network.

Once the switch is added to the network and connected to the upstream (ISP) it will download the firmware and come online on dashboard. Please make sure the outbound firewall rules for cloud connectivity are open on the upstream. Can be located under Help > Firewall info on dashboard.

You can use local status page if required. https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Tools_and_Troubleshooting/Using_the_Cisco_Me...

You can set the IP by plugging into the management port and accessing the local status page if you don't have DHCP on the network.
