RTSP Streaming Issue on MV93 – Need App Recommendations

Hi everyone,

Due to the well-known delay with the MV, I decided to use the RTSP protocol for live streaming.

Can anyone recommend a simple third-party app to view the stream? I'm currently using OBS, but I can't seem to figure out the correct URL since the one provided by my MV93 (rtsp://10.128.2.9:9000/live) doesn't work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Mau

Your link looks legitimate

I use VLC. To open a network stream, click on File then Open Network

Paste in the URL for RTSP and click Open and you should be good

I use VLC too, it can take a while to initiate the stream sometimes.
Once you've opened the stream (in my case, opening rtsp://192.168.0.135:9000/live via Media > Open Network Stream > enter a network URL) you can then create desktop shortcuts to each stream via MediaSave Playlist to File for easier access:

For Fisheye camera streams, you may want to dewarp the stream with a post-processing method before streaming it to VLC - the method is detailed in this community post, except they are using FFPLAY there instead of VLC.

New here

With OBS I use "VLC Video Source" instead of "Media Source" and I add the rtsp://[ip.of.the.camera]:9000/live there.

Be aware that meraki accepts only two simultaneous rtsp connection to one camera.

Kind of a big deal

I setup Home assistant which seems to work well. There is a delay with the stream connecting but once its connected it's stable.
