Excessive emails for camera motion alerts

Is there a way to limit the number of email alerts generated via motion with a Meraki MV13 camera?

Lower the motion sensitivity, or require motion for a longer period of time.

Basically, adjust it till you are only getting emails for the events you are interested in.

Or just creating "Areas of Interest" works well on MV13's if that's applicable in your location.  I filter out movement in areas we are not interested in and on the whole that works quite well.

thank you for your response.  I'll play around with those settings.

Each event generates a single email but if your sensitivity is to low you will get spammed.

I've had huge problems with motion alert at night when it's raining, the fine line between capturing legitimate motion and being alerted to almost every rain drop is so small thats I don't feel it's achievable to get it working correctly.

I had the same with an MV72X and am now trying an MV73X.  Insects at nighttime seem to still trigger the alerts, but it hasn't rained yet.  It was supposed to do so today, but now isn't predicted until Saturday so we will have to wait and see if it is any better.

I have the MV72, I'm personally not holding my breath on new hardware fixing the issue. My understanding was motion detection is more software driven than hardware so if it's average on the MV72 then it's still probably going to be the same on the MV73 given firmware is still being released  for the MV72.
