Emailing a screenshot every day

We have a camera that I want to pull a screenshot from every day at the same time and have the image emailed to me.  Does anyone know of a way to do this?  I'm looking for an automated means of making this happen similar to motion alerts, although in this case, there isn't motion to trigger it, I want it triggered by time.

@Jkenny were you able to code this with the API? I'm interested in this well. I want an hourly or daily snapshot of a particular camera(s) sent to an email address or maybe shared network folder.

Unfortunately it was beyond my capabilities, so I instead set motion alerts to accomplish close to what I needed.  I now get an email with a link that lets me view any motion that was detected.  However, no motion = no image.
