copy configuration from MX "a" in organization "a" to MX "b" in organization "b"

Hi,

i have organization "a" contains 150 MX all with co-term license that about to expire,

so we purchased 11 per-device license and we created new organization"b" and add 11 devices to it and they consume the 11 license

in org "b" we need to use one of the 11 MX devices as hub and all other MX as spokes

so we need to copy the configuration from the old hub which is in org "a" to the new hub which is in org "b" and then replace the old hub with the new hub

The only way to achieve this is by using APIs and programming scripts.

Just copy it manualy setting by setting or use the dashboard API. To my knowledge there is no built in tool allowing you to copy a Appliance network + device config in the dashboard.

Anyhow for a network as small as 11 devices a manual copy is no hassle

Or you can use this tool.

Hi ,

I have not tried this beta endpoint yet , but it might work.

https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Organizations_and_Networks/Network_Portabili...

but since it doesn't support moving between shards , I don't understand the point of this endpoint.

A Meraki employee had commented on a post about this and said different shards was on the todo list. At that point it becomes very useful but yeah right now not so much
