Will the MX250 connect to the MS225 via a twinax cable using SFP+ ports instead of using the SFP+ modules and fiber cable?

Yes that will work.  It is less costly and a cleaner design in my opinion.  I typically keep a spare twinax cable on hand as well if there is ever an issue but you could always failback to copper.

I'm with @Adam, I often have spare TwinAx cables on hand as well.  It is definitely the cheapest way of doing 10Gb/s.

We just have a setup with the MX250 with twinax cables between the switches.

Works like a charm and looks very clean!

Ben
