Web Content Filtering - URL Categories Don't Match?

Good Day All, Firstly, new to the forum so "hello!" Reason I'm here... we have web content filters enabled and we have URL's being blocked because they belong to categories they don't belong to when tested? Example : http://www.irtraining.eu category lookup tells us Training and Tools which we do not block. When you try and access http://www.irtraining.eu it is blocked because it belongs to Web Hosting which we do block. We have tried using the "full list" check but this doesn't help. We have also tried to apply the latest firmware as detailed in the help pages but the level suggested isn't available yet! Any ideas? We're seeing this a lot and it's becoming a real problem keeping on top of the admin. Thanks, Dave.

Upgrade your MX to 13.28.  This fixes a lot of issues like this.

Organisation/Firmware Upgrades.

It is listed as a "Stable Release Candidate".

Thanks PhilipDAth,

We did see this patch but the confusion lay in the fact it was a lower level than recommended in the help pages. We'll give it a go.

Dave.

@CapeCrusader70, it is actually a higher level.  It goes in numerical order.

30 > 20 > 10 > 3 > 2 > 1

Cool, thanks buddy!

Dave.

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the Cisco Meraki Community!

Issues with websites being miscategorized have been addressed in MX Firmware version 13.3 or higher, which should be available in Dashboard, under Organization > Firmware upgrades.

If there isn't any MX firmware higher than version 13.3 available in your Dashboard, or the issue persists after the firmware upgrade, then I would recommend you contacting Cisco Meraki Support by going to Help > Get Help > Email Support and submitting an Email Case. Our Support Engineers will be able to assist you further with this issue.
