Warm Spare best practice.

I have a few questions.

What is best practice when setting up warm spare?

Can you only use the same model number as a warm spare?

I understand that you would normally have redundant ISPs feeding each MX. But what if you only have a single ISP? Do you connect the warm MX to the main MX? And when you have an issue with the main you manually make the switch?

You will need the same MX model (MUST)

+Warmspare need to be in the same model,
+If you have a single ISP , just connect ISP to a hub or switch (in the same VLAN) then connect from switch to both MX in warmspare.
+Warmspare can do in NAT mode or VPN-Con mode

Yeh... There's falsities in that and I would not recommend you follow that guide. There are some good things in there, but the whole heartbeat thing is not truly possible and very misleading.
