Uplink configuration and per user bandwidth

Hello Experts,

I would like to know, WAN1 bandwidth configs have any impact on users allowed upload and download speed.for example if i configured 10 meg as my WAN1 speed.will it restrict a user with 2 Meg maximum speed?I know it wont allow more than the configured speed

Kind of a big deal

The wan speed doesnt restrict per user usage.

You need to set the per client shaper for that

Getting noticed

The bandwidth selector in the uplink configuration would be the total bandwidth for the circuit.  If you have 1 user using 2Mbps on a 10Mbps circuit you should be fine.  If you have 5 users all using 2Mbps each at the same time, then you're going to saturate your circuit.  If you want to limit the amount of bandwidth a user can use, then you can set the per-client limit in the global bandwidth limits.
