Tried to open a case but it is not working

Hi,

My MX64 has a bad port. I tried opening a case but it is not working.

Port 4 is not giving out DHCP address.

I have tried several different cables and devices.

Port 4 does not show up under the Per-Port VLAN Setting section under Addressing and VLANs.

Please advise.

Kind of a big deal

Try accessing the locks status page. Possibly that port is disabled

Do you see any lights on the port?

Did you call support? 415-937-6671

The port is active. It is not handing out DHCP addresses. There is a light.

Thanks for the support number.

Hi @John_D

I believe the port # 4 is configured as WAN2.

Could you please convert the port to LAN?

I think that your MX's Port 4 is working as a WAN Port. To fix this, go to the gateway of your MX from your Browser > configure tab> scroll down. and Set your port 4 as a LAN port. You will need the username and password. The username and password "you can see at the Network-wide> General > Device Configuration".

Thanks

Aung Ye.
