Spam Block with MX

Hi All,

Are there any anti-spam features for emails with Meraki MX devices/licenses?

I have a situation that involves on-premise servers for website and email so anti-spam is essential.

Have managed to find documentation on content filtering https://meraki.cisco.com/technologies/content-filtering 

Is security provided for emails? If not, what should the work-around be and are there any recommended spam filters for Meraki devices/licenses? 

Is there security for email / EML files?

Hi Richard,

The MX is not a spam filter for email. If you need advanced spam filtering you would need a seperate device.

Or set your spam rules in your e-mail server if a seperate device is too expensive.

No not one from Meraki.
Barracuda has a few options.

Or you could opt for a cloud anti-spam as @PhilipDAth suggests. 

I assume working with cloud e-mail (Gsuite, O365,...) is not an option?

We use a barracuda v300 for our on-premise email. Runs as a vm (2vcpu/8g ram) in vsphere. Does a great job at blocking almost all spam. Interface is kinda klunky, but you get use to it.
