Print from differen subnet

Hello all,

Recently we had a server die in one of our offices, and are unable to replace it. I am in a technical role, but less familiar than I would like to be in regard to networking. I need to know how i can pass traffic from one subnet say 192.168.0.0/24 to a specific device on 192.168.2.117(Printer). How can I go about doing so? This used to be bridged by the server which  was connected to both subnets.

I found the problem. THere was a firewall rule specifically blocking traffic between the two. I appreciate everyone's response!

If you have a router or firewall (Meraki MX) or layer 3 switch (MS210 or better), you can set up two VLANs and have one subnet in each.  The MS or MX can then send the traffic from one to another.

Do you have either of these?

We have an MX68 in place in this location. I do not believe our switches in place are cisco (I think they are aurba)

Is the MX68 set up for single LAN mode, or does it have more than one VLAN?

Meraki MX68's will pass inter-vlan traffic by default. If that is not happening, check your L3 firewall rules under "Security & SD-WAN -> Firewall"

That said, I suggest calling Meraki support for this.
They will be able to spend more time with you to get a better understanding of your environment and the issues you're facing.
