More of a security question for a Z3

I have a home user that wants to have his z3 in his home DMZ on his home router.  Before we deploy it this way, is it safe to have a z3 in this configuration.

Safe for what? The Z3, the user, the home?

At least it is quite common to have the Z3 somewhere in the internal Home-network. Placing it in a DMZ would be the perfect solution for me, but the typical home-user doesn't even have a DMZ and places it directly into the internal LAN which is also ok.
