MX450 WAN IP is Address of Proxy

Our MX450 WAN IP is different than our uplink public IP . WAN IP is the address of our proxy server. We are using a static NAT on our FW upstream from the MX.

Why would the WAN IP be different from the public uplink ?

Perhaps something upstream is doing policy routing, and routing the requests via an alternative circuit and NATing it.

I am remote from the MX450 so I cannot check the local status page but I am 99% sure.
