MX device License claim issue.

While claiming my adv security license in the dashboard i encountered the below message.

"License Z***-****-9*** is an Advanced Security license, but your organization’s existing license is for SD-WAN. If you wish to upgrade your Advanced Security license, please contact Support".

I am not sure which license is my organization is using.

as per above should i go ahead with which of the following license below.

LIC-MX95-SDW-3Y
LIC-MX95-ENT-3Y

Looking forward for your inputs.

Regards.

LIC-MX95-SDW-3Y would be the right one.

LIC-MX95-SDW-3Y is the SD-WAN Plus license.

You can contact support to upgrade the advanced security license to an SD-WAN Plus license.

The upgrade will remove some of the time on the license to compensate for the feature change.

Hi,

I understand that LIC-MX95-SDW-3Y is an SD-WAN Plus license. However, could you please let me know if this is the correct license to overcome the following error?

"License Z**-**-9* is an Advanced Security license, but your organization’s existing license is for SD-WAN. If you wish to upgrade your Advanced Security license, please contact Support."*

Yes, but you can't have two different MX license types coexisting at the same time. You'll need to contact Meraki support.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.
