MX Meraki SD-WAN large scale recommendations

Hi Meraki Community,

We are planning a large-scale SD-WAN deployment with over 10000 branches and are evaluating the best approach using Meraki MX appliances and vMX in Clouds (HUB). Given the scale, we are looking for recommendations and best practices regarding.

We appreciate any insights, experiences, or best practices from the community!

Thanks!

Get a Meraki SE (system engineer) involved for a design this large.  There may need to be configuration changes made to settings you don't have access to.  You might need to be purposely placed on a specific shard.

It is important that you consult with your Meraki sales representative so that they can help you determine the best design based on your needs.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

I agree on @PhilipDAth...for such a large setup I would also involve Meraki SE from Cisco.

The above comments are spot on.

A Meraki SE is a must have for something this large.

There are probably professional services offerings available too if you need a more detailed design or design, test and implementation assistance.

Hi @ALE727 ,

@PhilipDAth , @rwiesmann & @Brash  are spot on. A 'Soultions Engineer' will work with you (in tandem with the acounts team) ensuring critical services and sites are taking into consideration with a large deployment like this.

Cheers,
