MX + 5G

Hello,

I know we now have the 5G MGs available now, but if a customer prefers to use a non-Meraki product for a 5G cellular gateway i.e. CradlePoint or NetGear can they connect that to the MX via the USB port only or choose WAN port as well?

I don't think that there is any USB-5G Dongle supported. But connecting a 5G router (I often use the GigaCubes) to a WAN port works perfectly fine. But for manageability I would always prefer an MG.

Thanks for the response, so most likely the USB on the MX will NOT handle a 5G fixed wireless device BUT the MX could have a non-Meraki 5G fixed wireless device in the WAN1 port right?

Yes. The MX WAN port just wants an ethernet hand off.

Did you have to edit any settings on the Gigacube or MX to access your corporate  network. i have internet access over guest Wifi on the MX which breaks straight out to the internet but over our corporate network the MX connects to the dash but does not allow me access to our services.

Have read this could be due to doubling natting or needing a different APN but Vodafone are not assisting with fault finding on this product.
