Internet misconfiguration

Hello!
I am having an issue with my Meraki MX64 firewall. I accidentally unplugged the Internet to the Cisco firewall when checking to make sure all cords were connected. Now when I login from my device to a website, I get a pop-up that says this network is misconfigured. When I hit continue, it goes away and says you are now connected to Cisco Meraki. Sometimes randomly the Wi-Fi will go down and I will get another pop-up that says try checking the connection or checking the proxy and the firewall. What do I do because this has never happened before?

Hi,

I think the first thing to do is make sure you have everything connected correctly as it was before.

Meraki is super simple, as long as you have an internet connection it will work perfectly.

Another thing I suggest is opening a support case.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

MX64 Installation Guide would be a good guide to follow to verify your setup is correct.  There is a troubleshooting section toward the bottom as well if you continue to have connectivity issues.

A simple and quick hack here will be to connect the MX device exactly as it was earlier, and doing a factory reset on it to clean up any stuck processes/mis-configurations. Please make sure that if the MX was using a static WAN IP, you are adding it again after the reset. If the issue still persists after this step, then the problem might be somewhere else and you can raise a support ticket with Meraki to get it checked further.
