Does MX95 Support Telekom Speedbox (Germany)

Hi All,

We have 2x MX95 in our Munich office and we use Colt for Primary WAN but I'd like to connect a Telekom Speedbox for the Warm Spare as we can't get any other cabling to our floor.

Telekom Speedbox - the mobile router to take with you | Telekom Business Customers

The ZTE HyperBox 5G (MC801A ) might be an alternative instead.

Would these devices provide WAN to MX95 without any issues?

Thanks.

It looks like that thing has an Ethernet port, so yes, this should be working flawlessly.

As I'm pretty sure that Telekom will use CGNAT in the backend, you could get into issues if you're trying to do VPN (especially Remote Access) on the MX95 though.

CG-NAT causing issues with VPN over cellular can generally be worked around using manual NAT Traveral at the Hub end.   Recommend choosing a free UDP port between 1025 and 32768, but avoiding 4500.  It relies on configuring the the upstream firewall, behind which the Hub sits, to ensure that the public IP and UDP port pair you nominate gets forwarded to the Hub MX in question.

Thanks for the replies gents, we would be just using it as a failover line for our warm spare MX.
