Does MX-65 requires Internet connectivity all the time to work?

Hi All!


I connected MPLS link on LAN port (MPLS link doesn't have Internet breakout) and configured accordingly. I tested and i everything was working fine.


After testing, i removed Internet connectivity and left the MPLS link and MX65 working, after some time my site went down.


It would be great if someone can explain possible reasons.

It's supposed to work. I.e. what ever settings it was configured with should remain. You're just not able to make changes.

Meraki Hardware does need to check in every once in a while to work. While cloud connectivity is usually just used to manage the device, the Meraki hardware will think that something isn't right if it goes for extended periods without internet access and may reboot or revert to a known good configuration to try and "resolve" this lack of internet connectivity.
