Cannot Connect to an external ip from work network

Hello,

We want to connect to an external IP given by an authority to submit some documents through filezilla but we cannot connect from work network.

Home network connects just fine.

Any ideas?

Are you able to use Filezilla to other IPs?

Had the same problem with Citrix and had to whitelist the Clients. For a quick solution you should try it.

Made an Case at Meraki for that, but it´s not solved so far, regarding to x-mas and new years eve...

I am whitelisted but still cannot connect.

Tried to connect to another public ip with filezilla with success.

This is typically to do with old style FTP (active or passive) being used - which shouldn't be used anymore because it is not secure.

See if they can upgrade to sftp or ftps.  Both are secure and normally work flawlessly.

They are using a server with sftp connection.

I think they are blocking our external ip as I tried to connect to other external ip and host from work network with success
