Bandwidth drop

I have a broadband (Asymmetric, 500/1000mbps) WAN source.

Bandwidth drops and also recorded high latency and high data loss.

I also tried to bridge the connection using PPOE but the result is still the same.

Has anybody experienced this?

Where do you record you packet loss and latency ? From the dashboard ?

Have you configured the correct values in the trafic shaping of your MX ?

Yes, from the dashboard.

Traffic shaping is configured correctly.

Have you tried to open a ticket with your ISP ? Does rebooting the MX fixes temporarly the issue ?

Yes, but they insist that the problem is with our MX100 device.

Tried to reboot but still the same. The line (Asymmetric, 500/1000mbps) is ok when tested with a single PC.

There is no problem with the direct/leased lines as WAN.

Have you tried reducing the MTU on the MX100 WAN port?

May I try this one 😁

Note: Please contact Meraki support to modify the MTU size on the WAN link of the MX. The MX does not support Jumbo frames so the MTU cannot be adjusted above 1500.

If ever the MTU is set to a lower value, will this have any effect if I plug an internet source with a higher MTU?
