Backup MX84

When will I be available to save the MX84 config for backup purposes? I noticed other members have asked the same question, but no answer to this critical issue.

Screenshots seems the only option at the moment.

Import/export of an XML file would be nice.  (firewall/L7 settings are a pain to put back in for sure!)

You can do that right now - just copy the network.  Call your new network something like "Backup of xxx".

Not easy to roll back to, no versioning etc.  And  you get a messy  organisation overview as well.

To roll back you just move your device to your backup network copy, and rename - or delete the original network and copy the backup back to the primary network name and add the device back into it.

Sure, but still no versioning.  And if you have hundreds of devices,  this gets very messy.   Needs to be in the network settings.

Have you considering using a script and the API to automatically make a scheduled backup copy of all your networks to a backup network?  You then then retain as many versions as you want, programmaticly, and also automate the restore process.

That is a good idea.  Especially after the : "there is no backup" problem from some weeks ago.

But still think this should be offered as an option by the supplier.  API's do change, and you have to change all your scripts again.

Still no official backup or rollback solution?
