All company branches set at hub, any reason anyone can think of this would be a good idea?

I just started at a company as a net admin. They use Meraki Cloud, which I've never used before, but every one of the 30 branches set up as a hub, can anyone think of a reason this is a good idea? I've never seen an all hub network.

While I rarely use it, setting all branches to Hub is essentially configuring a Full Mesh AutoVPN topology. It’s one of the Meraki deployment models, and there’s nothing unusual about it.

Perhaps the admin wanted to reduce latency for voice between the branches.

I thought about this but the way the former admin has vlans and routing set up, is very confusing and doesn't seem like it would help. But again, new to Meraki Cloud, so I might just need a better understanding of the setup.

Perfectly acceptable design as others have mentioned. One thing to bear in mind is the number of tunnels a particular MX model can handle, as if you're running full AutoVPN mesh over 2 WANs then you will be scaling to a lot of tunnels.
