There's no specific requirement around MX license level, for Secure Connect. Within our documentation we tend to be clear when there are restrictions, such as hardware/firmware/license minimum levels. Many customers find the capabilities of SD-WAN+ / Advantage to be particularly useful tools when using a SASE service like Secure Connect though, which generally involves a default route via said service.

For Meraki SD-WAN, Secure Connect will work with any MX/MG license tier.

Another community post indicates:
Any MX license will work with Secure Connect.

If the above info is wrong, hopefully others will chime in and indicate otherwise.

THanks @RWelch. I can't seem to find the licensing information in the "Solution Overview" document. However, the second link mentioned that any MX license would suffice. I was hoping the Meraki documentation would state this clearly. The previous datasheets indicated that an Advanced license was required for Umbrella integration, but I couldn't find any information on Secure Connect and MX licenses in the current datasheets.

While I feel the documentation aspects are or have been improving, it is also one area that has room for improvement. That is not meant at or towards anyone in particular.
As Meraki morphs closer toward the Cisco side the landscape transitions much faster than documentation side can keep pace IMO.

SecureConnect uses AutoVPN on the Meraki side to connect it to the Umbrella cloud.
AutoVPN is in all MX licence tiers.

As everyone here has said, I don't think there is a minimum MX license restriction.
This is with Secure connect, you can use Umbrella features such as remote access etc, but you can use it without an MX.
However, Secure connect requires a separate license as described in the following document.
If you are considering using it, we recommend that you consult with your account representative.
