Meraki Lab for 500-220 ECMS

Morning,

Last week I attended the ECMS 2 and found it to be a brilliant course.
It has encouraged me to go for the 500-220 ECMS exam.

Im now looking to build out a Lab and have looked at the Lab guide on the Meraki Study portal. However, the equipment they suggest is REALLY expense. Do I need to go with the exact equipment in the study guide or can I use other Meraki equipment?

Thanks

I think you need to be a Cisco-partner to schedule slots in dCloud.

Yeah, I think thats the case. I can only access Demo mode and not actually configure anything sadly. Back to the drawing board.

Then I would suggest:

  • 2*MX (any actual model, AdvSec License)
  • 2* MS with routing capabilities
  • 2* MR (any actual model)
  • 1* MV (any Gen2 model)
  • some SM licenses

Yes, will be expensive just for a lab ...

I think you’re correct @KarstenI.  It’s more for demo purposes

Thanks Inder, I will check out the  fee labs. In my role, I just  use  specific   devices for the project  . so  was thinking about  purchasing kit. But rather expensive with licenses added ontop.

@@MLPillai146 I too am studying for the ECMS 1 exam and have looked at the option of building my own lab. I found equipment I could get, but yikes! The licensing is very expensive.  In my role at work I only have view access in our dashboard and not able to actually practice anything in the course.

We talked about setting up a practice lab or a sandbox with some extra equipment we have, however I think they decided not to due to licensing, etc   I am looking for affordable licensing options currently.
