is the Meraki MS250 an L3 switch or an L2 with L3 function? I haven't found any official info anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Hello Bruder,

What do you mean by L3 function ?

MS250 supports L3 VLAN with routing and DHCP.

<p>Thanks for the reply!

What I meant is this:

Is the MS250 officially classified by Meraki as a Layer 3 switch, or is it a Layer 2 switch that offers limited Layer 3 capabilities, such as static routing and OSPF?

I’m asking because on the datasheet it says “access switch,” which normally refers to Layer 2. But at the same time, it supports several L3 functions. So I’d like to understand how Meraki officially defines this model in terms of network layer classification.

Thanks in advance!</p>
