What is the fastest way to remotely wipe and reassign an iPad?

I am looking for the best way to wipe all user data and reassign an iPad.  Hoping for something completely hands off that won't require end user intervention.  We have a lot of devices at remote locations that do not have technical support.  We have been doing a full wipe (ie system manager> devices>the device>erase device), then walking an end user through initial setup over the phone.  That is very tedious, and often ends badly.  Is there a way to do a end user wipe without doing a full wipe?  Maybe a way to trigger a data wipe on all apps, and accounts?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

@Hulafish  The only way I am aware of to remove user data is to fully wipe the device. All the end user should need to get the device going again is wifi.
