Meraki SM Remote Desktop Service (RDS)

¿Meraki SM support Remote Desktop Service (RDS), multiple users run a session on a single virtual machine on the same server?.

I have multiple users connected under a VM, and I need different policy for every users.

Can you please explain your need more? What do you need the policies to do? In general SM isn't for managing servers.

If it works like the MX Group Policies when authenticating via AD, it won't work, what will count are the policies for the last user who connected to the machine via RDS.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Hi @PabloR,

Brandon from Meraki Support here 🙂 - I can confirm that in its current implementation - Meraki's Windows Profile deployment is designed for Single User enrollments only, and will only update policies when the enrolled user is logged in. More information on this below:

As for the SM Agent, this is designed as a Windows Service and would function across multiple users if desired. See the difference between Profile vs Agent Features below:

Thanks and hope this helps 🙂
