Disabling Play Protect for Internal Apps Not Published on Google Play - Device Owner Mode

I'm currently deploying an internal Android application that is not listed on the Google Play Store. When attempting to launch the app, the system redirects to the Play Store with a message saying: "Download the app from the Google Store." It seems that Play Protect is interfering because the app isn't recognized or verified.

I've already attempted to modify device policies and configuration profiles through our MDM platform, but so far nothing has worked to bypass or disable this behavior.

Hmm, the only thing I can think of initially is that the App Bundle ID matches one that's in Google Play, hence why you're being redirected there to download it officially. Mind dropping me a DM? In the meantime, I recommend opening a Support Case too.
