Configuring Apple Classroom for iPads

Hi,

Attempting to setup Classroom via Meraki but keep getting this error when opening the Classroom iOS App when logged in as 'Teacher'.

"Classroom must be configured with a valid education configuration profile"

I have deployed an educational profile to all iPads:

1. Are the students IPad supervised?

2. Is bluetooth enable on both the students and the teachers devices?

3. Is the network capable of device to device communication?

4. Are the device on the same subnet?

1. Are the students IPad supervised? Yes, the student & teacher iPads are supervised.

2. Is bluetooth enable on both the students and the teachers devices? Yes, the student & teacher iPads have bluetooth enabled.

3. Is the network capable of device to device communication? Yes, the network allows this.

4. Are the device on the same subnet? Yes, iPads are on the same subnet.

@intensify Right now I'm on the phone with Meraki support as I am having issues with the Classroom profile installing onto the iPads. I am getting the following error.

Code: 1000

Domain: MCProfileErrorDomain

Error: The profile “Apple School Manager - Classroom” is invalid.

Error: The payload “Apple School Manager - Classroom” is invalid.

Error: A group with the beacon ID “40” already exists

Are you seeing any errors when the profile applies?

@intensify I see you did not check the box for using ASM to send information, was this intentional?

I would highly recommend using ASM to manage your users and not Meraki.

Hello,

I've been using Apple Classroom via Meraki for quite a while now. But when I tried to perform a setup myself, I got this message: "Classroom must be configured with a valid education configuration profile".

I added ASM users manually instead of checking the box. I got back into the profile, when it worked, and then had to switch it back to use the ASM imported users. I don't know how it helped. But still, the issue was solved.
