Change default app for Google Docs to Microsoft Edge

The School has Android tablets that will be used by multiple students at random times. For this reason, I've changed the browser to Edge, and this has allowed me to change the home page and other settings, allowing the student to sign in and out using the Google login

We use Google Docs for school documentation, and I wondered if there was any way to stop Edge from asking for the Google Docs app when attempting to open Google Docs/Spreadsheet.

Make sure Edge is set as the default browser on the device, under Settings > Apps > Default Apps, set Browser App to Edge.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Thank you. I'll try this but the tablets are in kiosk mode and settings are locked

If you aren't allowing them to use the app, you should uninstall it. In theory that should unregister the uri handler that's causing the prompt.

If other users have access to the app. I'm not sure this is possible.
