Why was the purpose of your project? Our goal was to enhance the network infrastructure at our Virginia sales office, which had been struggling with unreliable and slow Wi-Fi. By modernizing the office’s connectivity, we aimed to create a seamless and efficient work environment where employees could rely on fast and stable internet access.
What challenges did you encounter? How did you solve those? The primary challenge was the office’s outdated legacy Catalyst equipment and older MR WiFi devices which led to inconsistent connectivity and frustration among staff. To resolve this, we upgraded the network with Meraki solutions, providing improved speed, reliability, and security.
What Meraki gear did you end up using? What non-Meraki gear did you use? For this upgrade, we deployed Meraki C9300 switches, MX85 security appliances, and four CW9176I access points, ensuring a reliable, powerful and stable network. The focus was on Meraki solutions, as they offer great performance and integration for this particular setup.
What do you hope to do next in the future? Following this deployment, we continue to expand our footprint with this type of stack set up at other locations.
