DAC SFP cable question - MX100 to MS250

Hello All,

We are looking to connect our MX100 to a MS250 stack using a SPF cable however the unit I purchased (  #10Gtek# [2-Pack] 10G SFP+ DAC Cable - 10GBASE-CU Passive Direct Attach Copper Twinax SFP Cable for Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU0.3M, Meraki MA-CBL-TA-0.3M, Fortinet, Ubiquiti UniFi, D-Link, 0.3-Meter(1ft) - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09BF98YRQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 ) does not seem to be working. I know the cable is working because when I connect from our MX250 to an older Cisco 2960-x, it lights up and has connectivity but when I try it from the MX to the MS it get nothing. Is there a setting I could be missing to make this work or do I need another cable? Apricate any suggestions to point me in the right direction.

The MX100 only has 1 Gbps LAN ports including the SFP ports.

To support DAC cables you need 10 Gbps interfaces.

Simply put you will have to use SFP to fiberpatchcable to SFP in this case.

Guess the ms does not like it then.as someone states  in a 1star review https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/reviews/B09BF98YRQ/ref=cm_cr_unknown?ie=UTF8&filterByStar=one_star&page...

You could verify that if you connect the ms250 to the 2960-x with this cable

Hello @ww , Yes. I have the cable currently connected between the MS250 and the 2960-x and it is working. I had also previously tested it between the MS switches also. So I wasn't sure if there was something different with the MX100.
