copy GROUP POLICIES to another network

Hello,

is there any possibility to copy GROUP POLICIES from one network to another? The configuration templates do not offer this and using the API it's only possible to list (and create) device-specific policies.

We have a bunch of group policies, that I want to apply to other, already existing networks.

Thanks in advance,
Matthias Klein, KAEMI GmbH Berlin

Thank you. This is a possibility and have a look at: https://community.meraki.com/t5/Solutions-APIs/Dashboard-API-copy-GROUP-POLICIES-to-another-network/...

Cheers,

Matthias

Re: copy GROUP POLICIES to another network

If you copy a network it should copy the Group Policies.

On a side note, what do you mean by "The configuration templates do not offer this"? I have some group policies in some of the templates I manage so each network bound to the template can use those policies.

Kind of a big deal

Nope. Not possible 😞

Re: copy GROUP POLICIES to another network

If you have a lot of group policies I would consider copying an existing network to a new one, and then move the devices across from the old network to the new network.

Hi @mklein,

That's no different than @MacuserJim's suggestion, just using the API instead of the dashboard. It's simple network cloning.
