Systems Manager discontinued and the future of Sentry

Does anyone know if Sentry is being discontinued along with Systems Manager? We rely heavily on Sentry policies to apply group policies to our devices and allow them internet access and if that's going away along with Systems Manager then I need to find a new solution

I don't  use it, but everything with Sentry is labeled as Systems Manager and by my understanding of how it works I would presume it's going away as well. I'd certainly start thinking about it and in the meantime reach out to your Meraki rep for clarification if no one pops in here to clarify.

I would safely say YES based on this:

Note: The SM parts of a network may be automatically removed/deleted after the EOST date. Other parts of the network (e.g. MX/MS/MR/MV etc. will not be impacted). After the EOST Meraki SM enrolled endpoints will retain their last configurations from Meraki Systems Manager and be unable to communicate with the Meraki Dashboard to make any further changes.

Hello @Jhippleheuser ,

I'll ask my friends at Systems Manager team and update you back.

Systems Manager is pretty cool and Sentry is a very handy feature it. Sentry helps integrating your mobile devices to MR access points and MX firewall much easier.

Since Sentry is a Systems Manager feature, I suspect it's going to be discontinues along with Systems Manager itself. But I have to confirm this with my colleagues.

In the meantime, I recommend checking your migration options - just to be on the safe side. As per our Systems ManagerEnd Of Life (EOL) FAQ, Ivanti Neurons for MDM would be a viable MDM solution you can migrate to.

We recommend reading this document that has more insight into Ivanti Neurons migration.

We can provide you with more detailed steps on how to migrate Sentry Wi-Fi to Ivanti Neurons equivalent feature later on.
