Split multiple sites from one network

Well a newbie and here is my first post.

At my organisation we have over 300 Meraki APs (MR) across multiple sites. The APs can be listed in the dashboard by choosing each site.

The problem is that I need to upgrade the firmware on these APs, but it seems like all the sites are linked to one template. I cannot seem to upgrade the firmware on the APs site-by-site. The only options thats available is to upgrade all 300+ across multiple sites in one go (although there is also an option to upgrade one AP at a time - which is not feasible).

Is there a way to upgrade them site by site without having to recreate a new template for each site?

If you go into Organisation > Monitor > Firmware Upgrades are you not able to upgrade per network

Ah - just reread the title of this post.  You have all your APs under one Network in the dashboard?

Any reason as to why it was setup that way? Why not setup a new Network for each required site and move the APs into their designated Network.  Then upgrade.

@DarrenOC he is using template

To be honest not sure why it was setup that way. Is there a way of cloning the template and applying it to different networks and than moving the APs in there ?

Hi @LostBoy , off the top of my head what if you created a new Network using your template.  Then moved the APs that should be in that particular network into the newly created network. Then you should be able to upgrade each individual networks firmware. You could try it out with a single AP first?
