Regularly scheduled reboots

Does anyone reboot MXs, MS or MRs regularly? Not sure if it would help performance or not, but just curious on what others think.

We spend a lot of effort to make our networking devices to be reliable and do not expect customers to have to reboot devices regularly. If you do experience any issue that requires you to reboot the device to restore functionality then please open a support case with us so we can investigate. We aim to make managing networks simple and regular rebooting goes against that.

I do not at this time. I can say it would have probably benefited with some of the older eol APs (MR32s, 72s, and beyond) but have not experienced anything with current models where I'd regularly do it.

Meraki devices do not require regular scheduled reboots for optimal performance, however they may experience occasional issues that can be resolved by rebooting.

What are the performance issue are you experiencing?

Thanks for the feedback. I have no performance issues, was more just curious if it was a recommended practice.

No - no point, unless you are having performance problems. If you are, I would recommend reaching out to Meraki Support or downgrading your firmware version as a better solution.

No.  Slash Access make a free tool to schedule device reboots.
