License PDL - Start of burning

Hey guys. Good morning.

Has anyone already done this test?

Hypothesis:
I claim a 1 year license for dash and assign it to a device that has been turned off and the license has expired for 2 years and leave that device in the inventory but outside of any network. 
Doubt:
This license will continue for 1 year indefinitely until the device is assigned to a network or has a deadline to start burning time even when outside any network.

PDL Licenses have a 90 day grace period between shipment and when they start burning regardless.

Now there are definitely some flaws in PDL where they don't quite work as described as far as expiration, but I've not encountered any situation like yours.

After the license enters the organization's license inventory, even if it is assigned to a device that is not on any network or is not assigned to any device, after 90 days the license begins to burn.

To be clear the 90 days starts when the license ships, not when you add it. It does not depend on it being added to your inventory or not.

Also note that new customers can not buy PDL as it is being phased out.  It has been replaced by subscription licences.  Subscription licences are applied to a network rather than individual devices.
