How do I apply licenses in Meraki SM

I am using Systems Manager to handle MDM for Android tablets in my org, have been for many years.  I just renewed and my reseller/VAR gave me my claim code. I successfully added my licenses to my account, but I can't figure out how to apply them to my devices.

Here you can see my expired licenses as well as my new licenses.  If I click actions and then choose to renew, it tells me there's no devices to renew. But I have 26 devices in my account. So I'm confused.

Just a reminder.

Effective June 3, 2026, Cisco Meraki Systems Manager will be discontinued and no longer available for purchase. In accordance with Cisco’s product lifecycle policy, existing customers will continue to receive technical support and maintenance updates through the Last Day of Support. For details on support timelines and recommended alternatives, please refer to the End-of-Sale FAQ

Licensing devices in Meraki MDM requires adding SM licenses to your organization via Organization > License info and ensuring you have available licenses to cover the device count. Once licensed, enroll Android devices using Systems Manager > Manage > Add devices

As stated, the devices are already enrolled. I have added the licenses to my account as the image I included in the OP shows. What I am trying to figure out is how to attach the licenses to the already enrolled devices.

You appear to be on PDL, see here: https://documentation.meraki.com/Platform_Management/Product_Information/Licensing/Meraki_Per-Device... You should be able to assign them to your SM network.

That worked, thank you!

You apply licenses to a network not a device. SM is going EOS soon so I would start looking for alternatives so that you are well ahead of the curve and have plenty of time to plan a migration to another MDM.

Yes, that's on my radar. I was on the verge of buying 3 years just so I won't have to worry about it for a while but opted to just buy the 1 year so I can vet and figure out a new MDM for my relatively small fleet of Android devices.

I think you did the right thing by only buying a years worth. I don't manage any Android devices so I can't offer any suggestions sorry. I know MS Intune supports Android but I've no idea if it's any good.
