Early Access - Network Configuration Export/Import

Has anyone found out what does this feature do ?

Export and import network configurations for backup, auditing, and migration.

Early access to network configuration export and import APIs. Enables customers to export network configurations in JSON format for backup, auditing, and migration purposes. Initially supports SSID configurations with extensibility for switching, security, and other features. This feature can only be applied to the entire organization.

Sounds interesting

It won't even let me actually activate it yet, but based on the description it sounds extremely useful for buy/sell/merger situations.

I want to know more ASAP as I have a situation coming up in the next few weeks where this could be useful.

I wonder if this is related to making that newish API call for cross org network moves work cross shard.

Interesting - seems it might already bo going live.

Last PVT, Cisco spoke about the ability to export and import Dashboard configuration. So far, there hasn't been a functionality for that, other than utilizing the API, but building a backup functionality yourself. Cisco had been getting a lot of requests for the ability to export and import config. I suppose it was mainly in response to some NIS2 compliancy concerns.

Neat - we use a service that I won't plug here, but it does "backup" your "Meraki" quite well.  We are on a legacy plan looks like it has gone up a bit in pricing, but still a good value for what you get.

Keeping an eye on this one, a colleague spotted it yesterday too but as @Mloraditch says we are also unable to activate as it fails to toggle on!

Must have been released a bit early, it's gone now as an option
