Delete Catalyst Center Organization from Dashboard

I tested the integration of Catalyst Center in the dashboard. Now I want to delete the corresponding organization. I receive an error in the dashboard: "Error! Failed with the following error(s): Cannot delete organization: currently processing data. Please try again later"

I have deactivated the integration in Catalyst Center (System > Settings > External Services > Cisco Catalyst Cloud > Meraki Dashboard: Deactivate). Which process is blocking the deletion? What am I missing?

Thank you for any hint

Peter

Before opening a support ticket, I tested deletion today morning once again. Now, I could delete the organization. But: My account was deleted, too. I was logged out and I could not login again. I tried password recovery, but I did not receive an email. Now I created the account again. Same username/email address, same password, another organization. Apparently, the account existed, I had to login with my 2FA TOTP which I set up before. After switching to another of my organizations, I was logged out, again. I could not login. So I had to create my account, again. Same procedure. The fourth try was successful. I created the account with an existing organization. The first three times, I created new orgs. Now I am logged in, the CatC organization is deleted.

Very strange behavior.

This is about Catalyst switches. Integration of Catalyst Center in the Dashboard is different. There is no configuration you can delete. You generate a special organization just for the CatC. I cannnot delete the CatC from this Organization and I cannot delete the organization itself.

Have you tried contacting Meraki's support team?

I deleted one of the additional organizations: Same procedure. I was logged out, I cannot login again. I have to create my account once again. For every organziation I have to delete ... Strange bug?

Edit: Even if I create my account with an existing organization, the organization was created. My account showed the same organization name four times. Of course, the org-id was different. I deleted the organizations via API. This was possible without any problems.

Hi @pdeleuw . Anytime a Dashboard account is created on dashboard.meraki.com it creates an org with the user and organization names are not required to be unique (the org id will be different). So that explains part of the behavior you are seeing, but does not explain why you are not able to login with your existing account after deleting an org. Thank you for the details and the workarounds. Could you please open a support case so we can look into the issue about not being able to login after deleting an org since it seems you can reproduce it consistently and then DM me the support case number?
