Annoying: USB Modems Deprecated for All MX and Z Series Devices

I typically wouldn't post something like this but am more than annoyed at the repeated banner notice that even if I close will re-surface over and over and over.

I've upgraded 11 MX appliances a month ago yet still continue get this notification.  

I've read it enough times to understand it, closed it enough times that I hope it never comes back and have never (ever) purchased a MX appliance to use the USB modem feature or capability.

I've provided dashboard feedback, opened a support case and am now putting on the Community page.

Anyone know how to get rid of this annoying banner permanently?  

Or is this wonderful notification something that will continue for eternity?

This beats the ads for cameras and sensors that showed up in every org and network. At least when I dismiss them, they stayed that way

I can't find my post about that , but someone from Meraki said that it should be dismissed but that's not the case.

Like mentionned this + ads for cameras and sensors are superrrrrrrr annoying.

Someone from Meraki is/was right that it can be dismissed.  After adjusting this setting, I’m back to being happy!

@RaphaelL you were right in the aspect it can be dismissed after adjusting the Manage visibility of Dashboard Banners setting at:

Organization > Configure > Settings

Well not really. You will be missing the other "non-critical" dashboard banners. 

This is like removing the check engine light because it is always on 😂

I can live with the decision to turn off a notice for a feature or capability that has never been part of any of my networks or organizations.  

On the bright side, I've provided dashboard feedback, opened a support case and provided feedback to the community page.  Perhaps others can do the same so we don't have to toggle off the non-critical banners aspect too.

Perhaps future MX appliance models won't include this depreciated USB modem feature or capability and eventually this super annoying notice goes away.

I've chased this down. The USB modem deprecation banner is now permanently dismissible. Please let me know if you notice otherwise. If you did the workaround of hiding non-critical dashboard banners in Organization > Configure > Settings then don't forget to revert that.

I haven't seen the banner , so I can't confirm that the button to dismiss it works. But the banner is gone. I'm counting that as a win
