If you still have doubts, I suggest you open a case with the Meraki team support.

If you are not using an SM, on dashboard alerts, you can check this information:
- Clients connect or disconnect from the LAN
Sends an email if select clients connect or disconnect from the LAN, as observed by the MX. The MX sends an ARP request to the client approximately every ten seconds to monitor its connectivity status. If the MX does not receive an ARP reply from the client after approximately 35 seconds, it considers the client to be disconnected. Once the client begins sending data through the MX and responding to ARP requests, it will again be marked as connected.

I see this write up for Clients - https://meraki.cisco.com/blog/2013/02/manage-devices-with-instant-alerts/, "Connectivity is checked every 1-2 seconds, and when a device fails to respond for 30 seconds, an alert is issued (IP address changes are handled gracefully, and do not trigger offline alerts). If a device goes dark, connectivity continues to be monitored from the dashboard so that once it reconnects it is immediately recognized." Is this applicable only for Clients or Access Point which are managed by Meraki? If not, do we have similar write up or documentation that will help understand how much real time device disconnect alerts are?
